In over 30 years of practice, my primary focus has been business litigation. My experience includes cases of varying size and complexity in areas of the law ranging from commercial contracts, creditors’ rights/ bankruptcy, intellectual property, estates, insurance and class actions to employment, products liability, ERISA and securities law. 

I have tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and in commercial and international arbitration, and I've handled numerous appeals in both state and federal appellate courts. I has also been involved in some aspects of corporate transactional practice. My broad-based experience helps me to quickly discern the issues involved in a matter and then to optimize results for clients.

I was a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph F. Weis, Jr. of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals from 1984-1986.  Prior to spending four years at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, I was shareholder at Manion McDonough & Lucas, a small firm based in Pittsburgh which concentrated on business litigation.
